A first upload from a relatively new user to the Workshop, I'm excited to be able to moderate and review this great first upload:
The Good:
There's a lot of cool detailing here all of the skin, the wrappings on the legs look just like cloth. We also have the nice shell detailing and golden trim with ornamentation to really make the skin come alive. There is some TC too which is nice. In terms of colouring the palette is small but effective, we have purple, gold and some greys and blues for the cloth and spikey bits.
Overall the amount of detailing and material work is done incredibly well.
Thematically the texture now also makes the Arachnathid fit in beside the Crypt Lord with is a cool idea and allows people to create their Undead Nerubian army.
The face looks amazing as well, almost cute in a way.
100% free hand is also an easy way to get in my good books.
Areas for Improvement:
Whilst there is TC it is quite minimal, it's not a big detraction but just something to note.
The detailing on the purple shell sections isn't bad, but I feel like it could be sharper?
There's some thick black shading on the gold sections which is good as that fits in really well with the Warcraft style but if the whole skin is to fit in better perhaps this strong shading should be applied elsewhere along with some stronger highlights/lighter parts but this is really an artistic choice.
Conclusion:
A great first entry to the texture section with a lot of positives. Whilst there are a few comments in the Areas for Improvement, they don't detract from the holistic quality of the overall skin. Therefore it is Approved as High Quality!
