Spectrum TD is a Tower Defense map with an emphasis on replayability, cosmetic unlocks and customization.

Unique Features
Spectrum TD has 3 main game modes:
- Competitive. Players compete to survive longer than other players, and can spend excess gold to boost the health of creeps for all players and knock them out faster. With 4 or more players, a personal skill rating is also saved and recorded for future games.
- Weekly PvE. Players play in separate solo games, and the RNG seed is fixed for the entire week. Compete to get the highest wave cleared each week and post your results on the official discord.
- Custom. The host can choose settings such as enabling or disabling creep boosts, changing the RNG seed per player, randomizing or fixing waves, changing the number of waypoints and more.

The cosmetic unlock system allows you to change the look of your maze, such as terrain, rocks and fort.

Spectrum TD has a special Rune mechanic.
Random runes will appear on the ground at the start of each game. Building a tower on those runes grants significant buffs to the towers built upon them.
Relics (2.0.0+) are consumable and passive items that you can choose to improve your towers and drastically change your strategies each game.

Spectrum TD has almost infinite replayability - every game can be totally different with the initial maze setup and distribution of runes and creep modifiers. If you want to experience a consistent system, Weekly PvE mode lets you fine tune your strategies for a whole week.

Fixes
Fixed a bug where weekly games weren't awarding spawn unlocks.
Fixed a bug where the game could fail to start properly.
Fixed end of game maze destruction having some safe spots.
Fixed Gluttonous Rune having a maximum of 4 stacks instead of 5.
Fixed reroll cost not increasing by 20 after unlocking all tiers. Starting cost lowered from 5 to 0 gold.
Fixed some towers not activating their start of wave abilities when constructed right as the wave begins.
Improved the performance of maze length calculations, which should reduce frame drops when building in extremely long mazes.

General
Players can now choose relics starting from wave 3. Relics grant powerful consumable or passive effects. Additionally, special choices are given at wave 13 and 18.
Players no longer gain a rune charge every few waves. Instead, one charge is given on wave 8. Further charges can be obtained through relics.
Starting from wave 3, salvaging towers or rocks now leaves behind rubble. Rubble continues to block creeps, can be constructed on top of, and is removed at the end of the wave.
Overall strength of slows has been reduced.

Slowpoke penalty now starts counting down while at least half of surviving players have finished the wave. The amount of leeway granted per wave has been adjusted to match this new design.
Creep boost now only affects a single wave, but is significantly more potent. Cost now scales by wave, not by number of uses. Creep boosting is now automatically disabled in non-synchronous games.
Various adjustments and some minor fixes to the RNG. Of note is that variance should now be marginally better. Sometimes. Random is still random.
The Progression UI now allows you to filter stats by game mode, as well as inspect other players' stats. This also works for stats prior to v2.0, but due to a bug, weekly games prior to v1.5.2 were recorded under custom mode stats. Additionally, due to massive changes, the highest wave cleared stat has been reset.
Most custom UI elements have been combined into a dropdown menu in the bottom-right corner.
Added a new custom UI: Spectropedia. This allows you to browse all towers by colors, and see their stats and abilities. At some point in the future, this will be expanded to also show runes and relics.
Added a new custom UI: Changelog.
Added a new custom UI: Settings.
Added a new custom UI: Weekly. This allows you to preview weekly waves up to wave 40. This is only visible in weekly mode.
Added a new mechanic: Vulnerability. Vulnerability increases all damage taken by the target. Targets can be affected by multiple sources of vulnerability, but only the most powerful one will be in effect. Like slows, current vulnerability is displayed while selecting a creep.
Added a new stat indicating the current number of kills of a tower.
Added a number of new rock formations to the maze generation.
There is no longer a maximum number of rune or rock charges.
Runes are no longer hidden when you place a rock over them.
Improved the responsiveness of towers to new units entering their attack range. This notably helps melee towers.

Towers
Added a new set of Tier 6 towers: Electronexus (blue), Doom Lord (red), Auric Annihilator (yellow), Archlich (purple), Soul Keeper (green), Dreadmage (orange) and Seraph (white). You may choose to construct one of these on Wave 18.
Due to the large number of changes, some changes have been omitted (e.g. global slow nerf). Additionally, some changes may have gone undocumented.
Arcane Turret has had all of its stats greatly altered. Arcane Power now causes attacks to also inflict vulnerability, and slow if matching.
Artillery's Bullseye no longer slows, now inflicts vulnerability.

Searing Crystal's Crystal Hailfire no longer slows, now inflicts vulnerability.

Shredder's Mobile Suit Goblin no longer slows, now inflicts vulnerability.
Siren's Slow Poison Bolt replaced with Corrosive Bolt.
Spectrumist's Dazzling Display has various changes to a number of colors.

Fixed the attack damage tooltip displaying an incorrect number when a tower had both an increased damage buff and a damage multiplier.

Fixes
Fixed a bug that caused certain towers to deal significantly more damage than intended in certain situations (introduced in v1.5.0). Notably, Phoenix and Scarlet Champion benefitted from this the most.

Fixed a bug that caused "of the Swarm", "of the Parade", "of the King", "of Festering" and "of Rushing" creep mods to randomly have a hidden -15% to +15% life modifier.
Fixed Avenger, Laser Turret, Mana Gorger, Questing Druid and Void Prism not benefitting properly from increases in base attack damage (introduced in v1.5.0).
Fixed Ember Forge's Smoldering Embers not benefitting from its Superior Execute.
Fixed Ember Forge's Rising Temperature lasting 3 seconds instead of 4 seconds.

Added a number of rare, unique runes with powerful effects. Slightly increased the frequency of legendary runes to match.

Added rune prefixes: Decaying, Matching, Ravenous, Solitary.
You now gain a Rune Charge every 6th wave. Rune Charges can be used to attach any rune in your maze to any tower regardless of placement.
Creep boost has had its cost and cost increase changed, but now no longer increases the life of your own creeps. Additionally, the life increase is now less and additive with itself instead of multiplicative.
Creep mods are now color coded by tier instead of having different names.
Removed rune prefix: Fleeting, Savage.
Slightly increased the base movement speed of creeps. Slightly reduced base life of creeps.
The "Eternal" rune prefix now gains an additional 0.05x Rune Effectiveness for each wave cleared. This bonus is reset whenever the rune is attached to a new tower.
The "Gluttonous" rune prefix now gives 0.8x Rune Effectiveness per stack instead of 0.3x and stacks up to 5 times instead of up to 15 times.
The "Primed" rune prefix duration increased from 20 seconds to 30 seconds.

Mr. Sky's Electric Light Symphony now deals 1.0x attack damage instead of 310 damage (basically the same, but now also benefits from its attack dice).

  • The average cost of Tier 4 and Tier 5 towers has been increased by about 30%. The strength of these towers has been adjusted according to their new cost (exact changes not included in these notes).
  • Gold Income has been dramatically changed. Gold cap is higher than before.
  • Tier 2, 3, 4 and 5 towers now require 1, 2, 3 and 4 rerolls to unlock respectively. The first 4 rerolls are very cheap.
  • Wave balance overhauled. Overall, the mid game has been made harder, and the overall length of games has been reduced. Because of these changes, your "Highest wave cleared" stat will be reset.
  • You can plan construction during a wave. Towers built during this time are Placeholders, and do not act or block creeps. They will become real towers at the end of the wave. You can salvage them if you change your mind.
  • Damage and attack speed buffs which exclusively affect the tower itself now scale multiplicatively instead of additively (e.g., Ember Forge's Rising Temperature now grants 1.33x damage and 2.0x attack speed).
  • Various creep modifiers have been adjusted in strength.
  • Wave modifiers will now appear earlier and become stronger more quickly.
  • Savage runes now always have 0.5x Rune Effectiveness. Whenever a creep dies, this is increased to 2.0x Rune Effectiveness for 3 seconds.
  • Unstable runes may now trigger between waves.
  • Gluttonous runes' stack limit is now 15, up from 10.
  • Added new customisations for Rocks, Forts, Spawn, Waypoints and Builders.

  • Fixed mobs that clone on death not calculating their leak damage correctly.
  • Fixed Searing Crystal's attack not benefitting from damage buffs (excluding its own skill).

  • Fixed Storm Herald's Electrify still giving +20% damage instead of +10%.
  • Fixed Wisp double hitting its primary target.
  • Fixed Primed Rune not activating before certain on-attack abilities (e.g. first Flowing Power not benefitting from the rune).

  • A plethora of balance changes across the board, particularly notable ones listed below.
  • Artillery ability added. Bullseye: Direct hits deal bonus damage and a brief slow.
  • Blood Knight's Victory Rush redesigned.

Initial Release.
Fixed desync when typing in chat. LOL

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

Hey, I played several games with a friend and I really love it. The only issues we have is that often someone of us getting desync after 5 minutes ingame.

1.4.1 release.

A lot of bug fixes and some balance changes - we've also had a crack at fixing the crashing error, so let us know if you still get them regularly or not.

EDIT: Looks like the crashing is all fixed! No crashes and no desyncs. Finally, we're on the good world line.

A lovely innovative tower defense map with multiplayer and solo play, as well as replayability.
One thing I found awkward was the command card part that's totally black and with no proper borders making it look like the UI is broken.
So we fixed that now in 1.5 thanks to a little help from Mayday.

And a whole bunch of new custom UI too!
