There are two ways to replace a user interface cooldown model: either with setting imported model's path to "UI\Feedback\Cooldown\UI-Cooldown-Indicator.mdx" (without punctuation (")), or either by going to 'Advanced -> Game Interface -> Model - Command Button - Cooldown' and setting your model there.
I've also attached a UI CD I have slightly modified and which I'm using in every map I do, which blackens out the borders, making the icon look passive until the cooldown replenishes and the icon's borders pop up again. Incredibly useful for them long CD spells, and much neater than standard CD.
