how to recover a map

hey guys i was working on the map the mystic might...i installed new spells, models etc..but when i tried to install the pack of dark spells....i imported all the files then i saved it and then i closed the editor. the next day when i tried to open my map it said
error: cannon load the main file

how do i get it back guys....please help.

there are ways but you'd need hard drive recovery programs, but I'm afraid its a harsh lesson in backing up your map more often. I keep 2 backups of any important map I make. It means if it ball's up saving the back-up and the original you STILL have a file to work from. Sorry.

or get newgen and it automatically does it for you.

umm i might be able to recover the map for you (try removeing the models that might be causeing the problem with an mpq editor

sorry this might be nooby comment, but did u try using the WEU? If it's not serious, I think it's possible.

no i did not use weu.......and its still now solved my prob...

WEU isnt good. it crashes often. dont be a lazy bum, look for newgen.
