Project Page

I was just thinking about an awesome feature. Ya know how there is that little custom profile field that says "Current Project?" What about a project page. This page will simply be a portal page, maybe with some pre-designated fields (such as project name, logo, features, etc.) and some blocks for polls or comments. In the UCP, the user can define these fields, and add in text fields of BBCode and/or HTML. That way, if you wanna pop in on Craka_J or any other person and wondering what theyre up to, you don't have to go digging for their threads.

Massive waste of server space really. This is not a "site" hosting service. So, on this one I concur with Hawkwing.

But yeah. No one ACTUALLY uses social groups. Photo albums are kinda of useful for keeping your images on the site server, and not uploading them to whatever post you may be using them in.

Well, there's a difference with those. Simple by updating VBulletin, those features are provided, whereas for this "project page" it would take a good amount of effort to create.

We survived for ... what? 4 years without them. So far, I haven't actually seen anything useful come out of those things.

Also, what's wrong with just linking to your homepage?

It wont eat up server space ... you just need to add a new table to the database with all the things a user wants and that's it .. + a small ... really small php file (20 kb is huge ) )
