Some Kind of "Poll-Ending" Notification

Hey, simple suggestion here. I've started & been a part of many thread Polls, and when there's not a lot of traffic, I can go back just to find out the Poll is long dead.

It'd be neat if we could 'resurrect' Polls (like, give Users the power to change a Poll's end time (if they started it)), but barring/in addition to that, would it be possible to get a little "Alert" notification when a Poll is closed down? Or about to close down?

Two suggestions, yes?

1. Change end time.
2. Alert when a poll is closed (for everyone who voted on it?)

1) Yeah if possible. Not the main point/necessity, but would be cool as Poll creator, sorta like a mini-mod.

2) Yeah. All who voted should probably know, methinks.

Why not alert those watching the thread associated with the poll? Maybe they're procrastinating.

I'd also like to add that it would be nice for contest polls to be made aware of to the users by having them a message sent (notification). One message per poll; no reminders. People are having a hard time seeing the announcements on the index page.
