There are too much things to do till I can call it beta.
Espacially Squad AI has to be completed, because your squad will be quite important on every Mission and they currently are behaving pretty stupid. And there are enough textures I need to finish for the interface.

But we are making good progress this month compared to December and November.

Sounds great, why dont you get it hosted ( hosted project ) :p Because I think it's good enough to get that and theres really getting some work done here!! :D

This must be the most revolutionary project of Wc3 yet. I love your work, no doubt that every1 loves it? ^^
But i was just wondering how much of your project is finished yet? Terrain,models triggers,... ? And i agree with ghost- you should get this hosted man ! I think they'll agree from the moment they see your teaser :p

Well here I am, again
First, I had Problems with my PC and after I fixed the Problem many of my Teammembers left, so I'm currently gathering some new guys.
Coldgamer, DarkEvilArthas and Totti left. The last two without doing anything ...
And I'm still waiting for Coldgamer to give me the Terrain he made....

However ... Barade, another.win and Michkus from inwarcraft joined the team, but I think I still need another landscaper. And a modeler would be good too.
I'm currently looking for people who are able speak German (because everything in our Forum is in Geman), but if I can't find anyone, it's even okay for english-speaking people to join in. But I have to Translate everything written in our Forum into English first (at least the important things).


I've been trying to make some sort of AI for the Enemies, but it's not exactly working the way I want.

And I nearly forgot:

I think it's kinda like this

Story/Concept 100%
Systems/Spells/Items 80% (Just AI and secondary firemodes, maybe one spell and there are some little bugs)
Terrain 10%
Skins/Models 40%

I want to finish this Campaign so I think 'll need some more people to help me.
I'll officially seach here, if I am able to find some people at inwarcraft.
Especially terrainers are needed

I visited your project's website (English) and noticed a lot of spelling and grammar errors. Some of it didn't make much sense the way you put words together. I'd like to help you by correcting it! I don't mind working on the English version of your site to correct spelling and grammar. Perhaps I can also help polish the storyline as well.

So what do you think?

I got no words over your project, it is so NICE! I have also created a FPS system, by myself, with aiming and arrowmovement. But your system is killing mine ;) I used regions for collisioncheck and immolation for killing units :p But some peoples may find it useful. Well I can't wait until you will show us more pictures and maybe even a BETA version. Maybe you have a spot free for Beta testing? Or maybe you need help with something, I are pretty skilled in GUI :)

Bringing up an issue I encountered with when making an FPS map, it always lag when played multilayer but since this is a campaign, it will be fine I guess.
In multiplayer everyone exept the host has a time delay with the Keyboard event.
So you can only play Maps with keyboard-controll via LAN (Local Area Network), because the delay would be minimal due to the very fast connection.

Thats why TSOF is Singleplayer.

@Flood: Thank you for your offer, but I think we have enough triggerers at the moment. We still need a 3d-modeler, because I cannot animate with gmax, because the dexport script seems not to be able to handle that, and I don't have the time to do everything.
 
Running over elevated terrain such as hills, cliffs, and ramps is a major glitch in WC3 you'll need to look out for.

Griffen is currently working on this issue that I've pointed out ages ago :D He seems pretty sucesfull, and we are currently making an example map. Also, any lag you encounter will be the same one as in CS. The point is, you wont lag to yourself, but vision of your unit may lag on other computers.

Maybe perhaps we can work together some day on another FPS mod? Maybe a remake of another FPS game such as Serious Sam or Team Fortress 2 :grin:

Also, I am taking a German language class, and know English perfectly (Since my primary language is English :p) so maybe I can help translate what ever I can.

this campaing is awesome, and videos and models,
video 2 is great, i think thats some another game not great mod
its great how squad members have difrent faces, and key movement is smooth and great, better than my( i made something some time ago, but it slows game too much and its little weird)
ill subscrite to this thread cause i think this project is great

terrans are great, will those objects be destroyable with shooting, glass and all
really nice, good models and lot of objects, but aint this more horror and logic, and what kind of logic will be used( like find a key or something more complicated)

no my warcraft is a German version. So some interface texts are German. But it should be English when you have a English version of warcraft.

Some debug messages and placeholder are german, but they won't be in the final release

It's the Terran Battlecruiser. I will use it in some Cinematics.
And like said before, it will have fire and some lights and maybe even a Yamato-Cannon effect.

I've written a new Newsscript for our homepage, which kinda connects the newspage with our forum. It's now easier for us to write news and (i hope) there will be more news from now , because the main reason why I didn't so many news was because the old system was kinda complicated (because I was to lazy to make something good).
You are now able to write comments.
There is also a public forum on the page and I plan some future benefits for those who are active on that forum there (links to videos, WIP screenshots, maybe even spoilers, I don't know).
Of course that'll only happen if there are enough active users in that forum.

Anyways, yes this is indeed a great project and it would be wonderful to see some updates daily, though the chances of that are slim.

This project has made it a long way from where it began,
I can't wait for it to be completed so the public can play it. But keep working on, don't rush nothing.

I got bored, so In my attachments I made myself a Little wallpaper. xD

I'm making new Tilesets for TSOF to relax a bit from Triggering (and I have to think of a good way to enable dropping non weapon items)

I made a quick test terrain for one texture.
I also reskinned the Konstrukt Doodads a bit.
